About

Bio

Deborah Sedgwick studied Fine Art Painting at Norwich School Of Art and The Royal Academy Of Art in Den Hague, NL. She revered Vermeer and was influenced by Dutch genre painting as well as the Photorealists. She also liked the more painterly styles of Wayne Thiebaud & Lisa Milroy. Deborah developed her own descriptive style, using oils to render architectural forms in precise detail.

After graduating with a First Degree in 1998, Deborah was selected for ‘Urban Landscapes’ an exhibition in a private gallery based in St John’s Wood. She continued to exhibit and has shown her work in London, Wales, the North West and at various locations in East Anglia. Her work was selected for a number of awards and purchased for private and public collections.

Deborah lives and works in West Norfolk. The subject of her work has evolved but she maintains her descriptive style.
